Lanesend

Lanesend is a four-bedroom detached dormer bungalow on the edge of St Agnes, a former tin-mining village on Cornwall's north coast. The property sleeps eight and sits 1.5km from Trevaunance Cove, with a pub and shop within five minutes' walk.

The ground floor has two king-size bedrooms (one convertible to twins), a bathroom with shower, a kitchen-dining room with double electric oven, induction hob, Sage coffee machine, and dishwasher, plus a sitting room with wood-burning stove and underfloor heating. A snug with desk and chair provides a workspace. Upstairs, a super-king bedroom (zip-and-link to twin) and a twin share a bathroom with bath and shower. Two Smart TVs, a Sonos speaker, and WiFi are provided throughout. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The garden has outdoor furniture, a BBQ, table tennis, and an outdoor shower. Off-road parking fits three cars. Trevaunance Cove - a mixed beach with surf, rock pools, and RNLI lifeguards in summer - is 1.5km downhill. Trevellas Cove, a quieter pebble cove good for snorkelling, lies 1.9km north.

St Agnes has independent shops, galleries, and cafes strung along a narrow valley running down to the coast. The Wheal Coates engine house, one of the most photographed buildings in Cornwall, stands on the cliffs south of the village above Chapel Porth beach. St Agnes Beacon, a short walk uphill, gives 360-degree views across the county. The coast path connects north to Chapel Porth and south towards Cligga Head.
