Sennen Cove is the last beach before Land’s End - a crescent of white sand backed by a working harbour where crab boats still launch daily. The beach faces west into the open Atlantic and picks up consistent swell, making it one of the most reliable surf spots in west Cornwall.

Two surf schools operate from the beach, with board and wetsuit hire available from the surf shop above the sand. The waves here suit beginners on smaller summer days, while winter ground swells draw experienced surfers. Bodyboarding is popular at the south end near the harbour wall, where the waves reform after breaking.

The village behind the beach is compact - a pub (the Old Success Inn), a fish and chip shop, a couple of cafes, and a mini-market. The Round House gallery sits in the old capstan house at the harbour. The South West Coast Path runs directly past, connecting Sennen to Land’s End in one direction and Gwynver Beach in the other.

RNLI lifeguards patrol from Easter to early November, 10am to 6pm - one of the longer patrol seasons in Cornwall. Dogs are banned from 15 May to 30 September, 10am to 6pm. Two car parks sit at the bottom of the hill near the beach, with a larger overflow field at the top. Public toilets and outdoor showers are by the main car park.
