Crotchet Cottage

Crotchet Cottage is a double-fronted two-bedroom cottage in the hamlet of Bohortha on the Roseland, sleeping four in one double and one twin. The property sits at the end of a row of thatched and slate-roofed dwellings adjacent to a working farm. Up to two dogs of any size are welcomed, and the cottage is designed as accessible accommodation.

Inside, the two bedrooms share one family shower room. The living area has an open fire, and the kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. Wi-Fi is provided.

Outside, the cottage has a large garden - space for dogs and for sitting out. The nearest beach is Porthbeor, a short walk along the cliff, though access has been affected by landslides making the cliff path unstable; Towan Beach, owned by the National Trust, is a short drive or a cliff-top walk away and is dog-friendly with a sloping path from the car park. The coast path out of Bohortha leads to St Anthony's Head at the tip of the Roseland.

Portscatho, a fishing village with pubs, cafes, and a small shop, lies three miles away along the coast path or by road. The Plume of Feathers pub in Portscatho is a walker's stop, and the Hidden Hut beach cafe sits further along the coast at Porthcurnick. Gerrans village is a couple of miles away with its pub and ancient church. St Mawes is seven miles west, with a foot ferry across to Falmouth running year round.
