Set within the extensive grounds of the renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan and just over a mile from the sea, The Clock House is part of the stable block belonging to the Manor House, forming one side of a cobbled courtyard in the private section of the estate. Furnished to a high standard, yet retains many of the 18th century features with high ceilings, large sash windows and the original slate-hung clock tower restored to working order with the preserved weather vane.

It is a short walk to the entrance of The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the largest garden restoration project in Europe, with over 80 acres of gardens. The award-winning Lobbs farm shop is also a short walk and the acclaimed Eden Project is about a 30-minute drive. The nearby villages of St Ewe and Pentewan, approx 1.5 miles respectively, have pubs offering food, and the traditional fishing village of Mevagissey is just over 2 miles away with a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs and a seasonal ferry operating from the harbour to Fowey. Just beyond Mevagissey, the small cove of Portmellon has a shingly beach and the popular family beach at Gorran Haven with safe bathing is about a ten-minute drive.
