Penny Cottage

The harbour is a few minutes' walk downhill, with fishing boats landing crab and lobster, and small sandy and pebble coves sit just beyond the harbour mouth. Talland Bay, the nearest proper swimming beach, is around two miles east on the coast.

Polperro is a cluster of slate-roofed cottages and steep lanes wrapped around a tidal harbour. The Blue Peter Inn and a handful of seafood cafes line the quayside, and the South West Coast Path runs out in both directions towards Looe and Talland Bay. The Eden Project and Fowey are each about thirty minutes by car.
