Crabbers Rest

Crabbers Rest is a two-bedroom three-storey cottage for 2 in the centre of Polperro, a two-minute walk from the tidal harbour where fishermen land their catch. The property has been renovated throughout while keeping the beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and log-burning stove of the original building.

Inside, the layout enters at first-floor level via a side door onto an open-plan living and kitchen room with log burner and smart TV with Netflix. The kitchen is fitted with electric hob, oven, dishwasher and washer-dryer. A twin bedroom (with 3ft single beds that zip and link to a super-king) and family bathroom sit on the first floor, and a double bedroom with en-suite shower sits on the top floor.

Outside, the cottage has no private outdoor space - the layout is fully focused on the indoor rooms. A parking space is included, which is genuinely useful in Polperro given restrictions in the village centre. Up to two small or medium dogs are welcome at an additional charge.

Polperro's shops, pubs, restaurants and tidal beach are all a two-minute walk from the door. The South West Coast Path runs along the cliffs in both directions to Talland Bay and Lansallos. Looe is 4 miles away for the Looe Valley Line railway, with the Eden Project 21 miles, Fowey (via the Bodinnick car ferry) 8.5 miles, and Port Isaac on the north coast 32 miles.
