Lost Barn

Lost Barn is a two-bedroom single-storey conversion at Mellionnec Vean near Quintrell Downs, sleeping four with a private hot tub, 4.2km inland from Watergate Bay. It shares the small rural site with sister cottage Hideaway, but each has its own enclosed garden.

The two bedrooms are a king-size double and a super-king (convertible to twin on request) sharing a bathroom with both a Jacuzzi bath and a separate shower. The open-plan living space pairs a kitchen with breakfast bar and range cooker on gas hob with a 50-inch TV, Nespresso machine and American-style fridge-freezer. Underfloor heating runs throughout. A Cornish produce hamper and cream tea are provided on arrival. Off-road parking takes two cars.

Whipsiderry Beach with its low-tide caves is 4.1km, and Watergate Bay's 2-mile arc of sand sits 4.2km away with the Watergate Bay Extreme Academy for surf and kitesurf lessons. The coast path north heads over Bedruthan Steps to Mawgan Porth, and Newquay town centre with Fistral is 3 miles south.

Best for two couples or a small family wanting a hot tub and a short drive to multiple north-coast beaches. Less good for guests needing walking-distance beach access or step-free thresholds (no specific accessibility features here).
