3 Waves is a 1-bedroom apartment at Watergate Bay with sea views from both the super-king bedroom and the south-facing balcony. The open-plan living area has a double sofa bed - extending the sleeping capacity to 4 - and a Sonos speaker. An en-suite bathroom with a bath and overhead shower serves the main bedroom. From £574 per week, with one parking space and communal garden seating outside.

Watergate Bay beach, the long Atlantic strand that hosts the Extreme Academy surf and kite school, is 500 metres. The beach runs for about a mile at low tide and is one of the main surf destinations on the north Cornwall coast.

Mawgan Porth - a smaller, more family-oriented cove with a car park and cafe above the beach - is 2.5 kilometres south. Whipsiderry Beach, a narrow sand cove accessible by steps down the cliff at Porth, is 2.1 kilometres north.

Suits two adults and two children, or a pair of couples sharing, who want sea views and direct beach access at a property that is genuinely close to the water. Less good for guests with dogs - no pets are permitted. No washing machine is listed, so longer stays involving laundry may need a launderette visit.
