Higher Tumrose

Higher Tumrose is a single-storey, 4-bedroom cottage on the western edge of Bodmin Moor, sleeping 7 guests in the village of Blisland. All rooms are on the ground floor, making it suitable for guests with accessibility needs. Two dogs are welcome.

The cottage has a king-size double with en-suite bathroom (bath, basin, WC), a 6-foot double that converts to twins on request, a twin, and a single. A second bathroom has a bath, separate shower, basin, and WC. The sitting room has a woodburning stove, and a sunroom leads off the main living space. The kitchen includes a dining area, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and washing machine with tumble dryer.

Off-road parking is available for 3 cars, and 10 shallow steps lead from the parking area to the terrace and entrance. The property is about a quarter mile from Blisland village, which has the multi-award-winning Blisland Inn and a Norman church arranged around a traditional village green.

Blisland sits at roughly 700 feet above sea level on the moor's western fringe. Walking routes lead onto open moorland toward Rough Tor and Brown Willy, Cornwall's highest point at 1,378 feet. The Camel Trail at Wenfordbridge is about 2 miles north. The nearest beaches - Tregardock (12.2km) and Port Gaverne (12.4km) - are on the north coast, about a 25-minute drive.
