Dick Cottage

Dick Cottage is a barn conversion near Blisland, a moorland village on the western edge of Bodmin Moor. The cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and welcomes dogs (with seasonal restrictions in July and August).

The interior is open-plan, with a seating area, kitchen, and dining space on one level. The kitchen has a microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. A bathroom with bath and shower over serves both bedrooms - a double and a twin. A tumble dryer and WiFi are included.

Outside, the cottage has a BBQ and off-road parking for 2 cars. A shared EV charging point is available on-site. The nearest pub is less than a mile away - the Blisland Inn, a multi-award-winning CAMRA pub with regularly changing Cornish ales, sits on the village green.

Blisland is one of the few Cornish villages built around a traditional green, with granite cottages and a Norman church. Bodmin Moor's open heathland starts immediately east of the village, with walking routes toward Brown Willy (1,378 feet), Cornwall's highest point. Port Gaverne Beach, a sheltered cove near Port Isaac with calm water for swimming and kayaking, is 12.1km away. Tregardock Beach, a remote sandy beach with powerful surf, is 12.3km. The Camel Trail can be accessed at Wenfordbridge, about 2 miles north.
