Churchgate Cottage

Churchgate Cottage is a recently renovated two-bedroom cottage in Blisland, a village built around a traditional green on the western edge of Bodmin Moor. The property is dog-friendly and within walking distance of the Blisland Inn, a multi-award-winning CAMRA pub.

Inside, the cottage has an open-plan layout with a seating area (electric fire), dining space, and kitchen on one level. One double bedroom and one single bedroom are upstairs, served by a newly fitted bathroom with walk-in shower. Smart TV, WiFi, and a dishwasher are included. Note that children under 5 are not accepted (except babes in arms) and the stairs have low head height.

The cottage has off-road parking for one car but no garden. The village green and the Norman church of St Protus and St Hyacinth are right outside. Port Gaverne Beach, a sheltered cove near Port Isaac with rock pools and kayaking, is 12.4km north. Tregardock Beach, a remote sandy beach with surf, is 12.5km away.

Blisland sits at about 700 feet above sea level with open moorland starting immediately east. Walking routes lead onto Bodmin Moor toward Rough Tor and Brown Willy, Cornwall's highest point at 1,378 feet. The De Lank River runs through a wooded valley below the village, with swimming holes in summer. The Camel Trail is accessible at Wenfordbridge, about 2 miles north.
