Groom Cottage

Groom Cottage is a two-bedroom cottage in Poughill, a village on the outskirts of Bude in north Cornwall. The property sleeps four and includes access to a 40-foot heated indoor swimming pool, shared games room, and enclosed gardens. Two dogs are welcome.

The open-plan ground floor combines kitchen, dining area, and sitting area with an electric coal-effect fire. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A conservatory extends the living space. Upstairs, one double bedroom has an en-suite basin and WC, while the second double shares the main bathroom with bath, shower over, basin, and WC. A shared external laundry has washing machines and tumble dryers.

The enclosed garden has a patio with furniture, plus a balcony with additional seating. The heated indoor pool operates daily and has changing rooms and a shower. Crooklets Beach and Summerleaze Beach are each 2.8 km away in Bude - Crooklets is the main surf beach, while Summerleaze has Bude's tidal sea pool for sheltered swimming.

Bude town centre has supermarkets, the Bude Canal for kayaking and flat-water swimming, and the Bude Castle Heritage Centre. The South West Coast Path runs in both directions from Bude, covering over 30 miles of coastline. A pub is within a 5-minute walk of the cottage. Allocated parking for one car is provided, with an overflow car park about 50 yards away near the pool.
