Detached single-storey bungalow about a mile from the centre of Bude, sleeping four across two bedrooms (one double, one twin). The standout feature is the large enclosed garden, which has views across open countryside towards the sea. A local wetland nature reserve is within walking distance.

Inside, a lounge with feature fireplace, TV and French doors onto the garden. Separate dining room, fitted kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave. Washing machine and tumble dryer in the external utility. The double and twin share one bathroom with shower over bath. Wifi included. No dishwasher and no wood burner, and bath-only bathing may not suit all guests.

Summerleaze Beach is 1.9km away, with the free tidal sea pool that's safe to swim whatever the sea is doing outside it. Crooklets Beach at 2.5km is the surf beach, and Widemouth Bay at 3.1km has a beginner surf academy and the longest sand on this stretch. Bude town - shops, cafes, mini-golf, tennis - is under two miles away.

Best for families with a dog who want garden space and easy beach drives. Less good for groups who need en-suites or anyone planning to walk into town for dinner every night.
