community event markets

The Royal Cornwall Show is the county’s biggest annual event and one of the most important agricultural shows in the country. Held over three days at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre near Wadebridge, it celebrates Cornwall’s farming heritage, food culture, and rural way of life, attracting up to 120,000 visitors each year.

The showground comes alive with livestock competitions, equestrian displays, horticultural exhibits, and a food hall showcasing the very best of Cornish produce. From prize-winning cattle and sheep to artisan cheese, fresh seafood, and locally brewed cider, the show covers everything from livestock to artisan food in one place. There are also trade stands, countryside demonstrations, vintage machinery, and a packed programme of arena entertainment.

For families, there are interactive zones, fairground rides, and educational activities that bring farming to life for younger visitors. The Royal Cornwall Show is far more than a farm fair - it is a genuine celebration of everything that makes Cornwall special, and an essential day out for anyone visiting the county in early June.
