Three-bedroom detached cottage in the inland village of Cubert, 4 miles south-west of Newquay. The single-storey layout makes it one of the more accessible properties on this stretch, with no internal stairs and step-free access throughout. Sleeps 4, with the third bedroom giving useful spare space for a small family or couples sharing.

The cottage runs as kitchen, separate dining room, sitting room, three bedrooms and one bathroom. Washing machine included. Two dogs are welcome, and the enclosed garden gives them somewhere to be off the lead between walks. The interior is practical rather than designer - if you want a base for walking the coast path and beach days rather than a stylish short-break stop, this works.

Cubert village has a shop with post office, a pub, and a restaurant within walking distance. Holywell Bay is 1.5 miles west, with its long sand and the iconic Sloop and Twin Rocks tidal stacks. Crantock Beach sits 2 miles north-west across the Gannel estuary, sheltered by dunes and quieter than its Newquay neighbours. Perranporth and its 3-mile beach are 4 miles south, and Newquay is 4 miles north for shops, the airport and the Fistral surf break.

Best for dog-owning families and couples who need a step-free layout near the surf coast. Less good for groups wanting contemporary interiors or sea views - this is a working village setting.
