One-bedroom couples' cottage 1.5 miles outside Bude, sleeping two in one double. Open-plan living space with a fitted kitchen and dining table for four. Bright, single-storey layout designed for couples or solo travellers with a dog.

Cushioned sofas in the sitting area, TV in the bedroom, and a contemporary walk-in shower room. Up to two dogs welcome. Private garden with patio furniture and BBQ, plus a shared communal lawn and a play area on site. No washing machine in the cottage itself, but there's a shared laundry room. Off-road parking for one car, and a farm track around the grounds for morning dog walks. A creative shell studio on site offers paid sessions during your stay.

Summerleaze Beach is 2.3km away with the free tidal sea pool, swimmable on any tide once it fills. Crooklets Beach at 2.8km is the main surf beach. Widemouth Bay at 3.6km has the longest sand and a beginner surf school. Day trips reach Boscastle (13 miles) and Tintagel (17 miles) for the cliff-top castle ruins.

Best for couples or solo travellers with a dog who want a quiet base for surf, the sea pool and coast-path walks. Less good for families - it sleeps two only - or anyone needing in-cottage laundry.
