Anchor Watch sits above Fowey harbour with river views from both the living room and the main king-size bedroom. The three-bedroom house sleeps 6 across two king-size rooms and a twin, with a boot room on arrival for storing outdoor and beach kit. An enclosed garden with a paved terrace and lawn provides space for families and groups, and a BBQ is available for outdoor meals.

Readymoney Cove - a compact sandy beach at the mouth of the estuary - is 1km on foot through Fowey's narrow Georgian streets. Lantic Bay, a larger and quieter cove on the south coast path, is 2.5km. The town itself has independent shops, fish restaurants, and the Daphne du Maurier Literary Centre, which reflects Fowey's connection to the author who lived nearby at Menabilly.

Best for families or groups of 6 who want a spacious house with a proper enclosed garden and river views in a historic harbour town. The Bodinnick ferry, which connects Fowey to the east bank of the river for walks toward Polruan, is within walking distance. Less good for guests who need immediate beach access - Readymoney Cove requires a 15-minute walk through the town. One dog accepted. No WiFi.
