Driftwood

Driftwood is a three-storey cottage in Fowey, a south coast harbour town known for its connection to Daphne du Maurier. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms and is dog-friendly, with a pub just 100 metres away and shops within 200 metres.

The ground floor has a super-king-size bedroom with TV and en-suite walk-in shower, plus a twin bedroom with TV. A bathroom with bath, shower over, and heated towel rail also serves the ground floor. The second floor has a double bedroom, and the first floor is open-plan with kitchen, dining area, and sitting room. The kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher. Three TVs and WiFi are provided throughout.

A small patio with furniture sits outside the property. Parking is available in the main town car park, a short walk away. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

Readymoney Cove, a sheltered sandy beach below the ruins of St Catherine's Castle, is 900 metres from the cottage. Lantic Bay - a more remote National Trust beach reached by a steep 20 to 30-minute walk - is 2.2 km. Fowey itself has the Hall Walk circular (4 miles, roughly 2.5 hours), the Fowey-to-Polruan passenger ferry, and Sam's restaurant on Fore Street, open since 1987.
