13 Hillside

13 Hillside is a single-storey bungalow on Penstowe Holiday Village in Kilkhampton, a village 6 miles north of Bude on the North Cornwall coast. The layout is all on one level with a private patio and lawn to the front, off-road parking, and dog-friendly access throughout. Two bedrooms - a double and a twin - sleep 4 guests, served by one bathroom.

Sandymouth Beach, a National Trust-managed stretch of sand and rock formations popular with surfers, is 4.5km away. Duckpool beach, also managed by the National Trust and considerably quieter than the main Bude beaches, is 4.6km. The Hartland Coast AONB extends north from here with cliff walks along the South West Coast Path.

This bungalow suits families with young children or dogs who want a holiday village setting with level access to all rooms, or couples sharing with another couple who need two separate sleeping spaces. It is less good for guests expecting a coastal outlook - the position is inland at a holiday park rather than within sight or sound of the sea, and there is no dishwasher or washing machine on site.

Bude town centre is approximately 6 miles south, with a choice of surf beaches including Summerleaze and Crooklets, plus supermarkets and surf hire.
