21 The Glade

A single-storey, accessible cottage at Penstowe Holiday Village near Kilkhampton, sleeping four guests. The bungalow layout makes it suitable for those with limited mobility, and up to two dogs are welcome.

The open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining area and sitting area on one level. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge - compact but functional. A Smart TV and WiFi are provided. Two ground-floor bedrooms - one double and one twin - share a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. A highchair and travel cot are available on request. A laundrette on site handles washing (charges apply).

A front patio with outdoor furniture provides a sheltered spot. Sandymouth Beach, a National Trust beach with wide golden sand at low tide and summer lifeguards, is 4.5 km away. Duckpool Beach - a remote, rocky cove also managed by the National Trust - is 4.6 km along the coast.

Kilkhampton village is about 5 miles north-east of Bude, with a pub, post office and the 15th-century church of St James. The Coombe Valley nature reserve, managed by Cornwall Wildlife Trust, lies about a mile west with waymarked woodland trails. Bude's town beaches and canal are under 20 minutes by car. Off-road parking is included. Friday changeover, with short breaks available between April and October.
