Wringford Farm Annexe is a one-bedroom cottage annexe at Wringford Farm near Rame, sleeping two. The annexe sits in 13 acres of farm fields, with free-roaming peacocks across the grounds. Cawsand Beach is a kilometre's walk down the lane.

The cottage is straightforward: one double bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen-living space, washing machine and wifi. No dishwasher and no wood burner. On-site parking, an enclosed private garden and dog access to the wider farm fields. The peacocks roam freely - charming for some guests, an early-morning alarm clock for others. Friday changeover. Three Sykes reviews averaging 3 stars - a smaller sample than the village cottages.

Wringford sits a short walk inland from the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, the colour-washed harbour villages on the Rame Peninsula sometimes called "Cornwall's forgotten corner". The Cawsand-Kingsand stream marked the Devon-Cornwall boundary until 1844; the Halfway House pub straddled the line. From Cawsand a passenger ferry to Plymouth Barbican runs Easter to October, and Whitsand Bay's three-mile cliff-backed beach is 4.7km west. Mount Edgcumbe Country Park - 800 acres with a Tudor house and deer - is on the doorstep.

Best for a couple wanting a quiet rural base with a dog, off the harbour but within walking distance. Less good for guests who want to step out to pubs and beaches without putting boots on - it's farm, not village.
