Sowanna Farm Cottage

Sowanna Farm Cottage is a wing of an attractive farmhouse at Cury Cross Lanes on the Lizard, two miles from the village of Mullion. The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms and sits in open farmland, with one of the largest reed beds in Europe running alongside a Site of Special Scientific Interest on the farm itself. Dogs are welcome, and an EV charger is fitted on-site.

Inside, the cottage has exposed stone walls and sash windows. The kitchen is fitted with an electric cooker, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, dishwasher and microwave. A table sits by the large sash window in the lounge, where an electric fire and TV face the sofas. Two bedrooms - a double and a twin - share a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Outside, a patio with a picnic table opens onto a lawned garden with a gas BBQ. A converted barn alongside houses a games room with a pool table and table football. Gunwalloe Church Cove, with its 14th-century church on the sand, is 1.7 km away. Poldhu Cove sits at 1.9 km, and Polurrian Beach at 2.9 km.

Mullion itself has pubs, cafes, shops and galleries, plus Mullion Harbour cut into the cliffs. The Lizard lies five miles south and includes Kynance Cove, the lighthouse at Lizard Point and the serpentine cliffs. Helston, Goonhilly Earth Station and the RNAS Culdrose viewing area are all within a 15-minute drive.
