Polzeath beach is 500m away: a wide north-facing arc with reliable surf, a RNLI lifeguard service in season, and a surf school operating from the sand. Greenaway Beach is 900m further along the coast path. The path north from Polzeath leads out to Pentire Point and The Rumps headland, with views across to The Mouls island. Rock is a short drive around the estuary, and Padstow is 6 miles by road.

The coast path from Polzeath also runs south towards Rock, roughly 4km around the headland on foot, passing Port Quin and the sand flats of the Camel Estuary mouth.

Best for couples or small families who want to be in the middle of Polzeath's surf and café scene without hiring a car. Less suited to those seeking quiet or countryside - the village is compact and lively in summer, and there is no outdoor space with the apartment.
