Pilchard Rock is a four-bedroom architect-designed house above Polperro harbour, sleeping up to nine. The building sits just off the South West Coast Path with 180-degree views across the harbour and out to sea from the windows and balcony. Prices start at GBP1,338 per week.

Inside, the layout is open-plan, with a contemporary kitchen flowing into the dining and lounge areas. Three bathrooms spread across the bedrooms make it workable for families or two couples travelling together, and the open fire provides a focal point for cooler evenings. Wifi, dishwasher, and washing machine are all included.

Outside, the private balcony looks directly over the fishing harbour, giving a front-row seat to the boats coming and going. Dogs are welcome and on-site parking is included, which matters in Polperro where vehicle access into the village centre is restricted. Lekerock Cove is 1.2km away, with Talland Bay at 1.5km and Lansallos Beach at 4.4km - all reachable on foot along the coast path.

Polperro is a working fishing village with independent shops, pubs, and regular boat trips from the quay. The coast path runs east toward Looe and west toward Lansallos and Fowey. Best for larger groups and dog-owners who want a high-spec base with direct harbour views. Less good for anyone needing flat-access or arriving without a car.
