Amble just 150 metres down to the 3-mile-long beach, which is popular with experienced surfers. When the tide is out, stroll 1 mile along the sand to Loe Bar from the granite pier at the harbour. While you are here, enjoy a 6-mile circular walk through the attractive Penrose Estate and around the freshwater lake
