Padstow lies five flat miles north along the trail for Paul Ainsworth at No 6, Rick Stein restaurants and the working harbour. Bodmin is six miles south along the same trail, with the Bodmin and Wenford Railway as an inland draw. The Royal Cornwall Showground sits ten minutes' walk from the property and hosts events throughout the year.

Wadebridge town centre holds independent shops, cafes and restaurants, with the Country Market running every Thursday for local produce and crafts. Daymer Bay sits 7.2 kilometres away, with Greenaway at 7.7 kilometres and Polzeath at 8.1 kilometres on the Camel Estuary. Rock, Trevone and Harlyn are all within a twenty-minute drive, and Port Isaac - the filming location for Doc Martin - is eight miles away for the harbour and winding alleyways.
