Lavender

Lavender is a two-bedroom self-catering cottage near Wadebridge on the north Cornwall coast. It sleeps four and welcomes dogs, working as a rural base within easy reach of both the Camel Estuary beaches and Bodmin Moor.

Inside, the cottage has one bathroom, a dishwasher and washing machine in the kitchen, and wifi throughout. The ground-floor layout is accessible and the interior keeps a relaxed, unshowy feel suited to a working holiday base rather than a statement stay.

Outside, the cottage has its own garden and private parking. Wadebridge sits a short drive away, where the Camel Trail, a 17-mile traffic-free cycle route following the former railway line, runs from Padstow to Bodmin and Wenfordbridge. Bike hire is available at the trail head in Wadebridge. The nearest beaches sit along the Camel Estuary.

Padstow, with its harbour, Rick Stein restaurants and coast path walks, is around 7 miles from the cottage, with Rock and Polzeath accessible by the passenger ferry across the Camel from Padstow. Tintagel and its clifftop castle ruins, and the north coast village of Port Isaac, are both within a short drive for day trips.
