Clamoak Cottage

Clamoak Cottage sits on the banks of the River Tamar at Weir Quay, a riverside hamlet in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This two-bedroom cottage sleeps four and welcomes up to two dogs.

The cottage has a super-king-size bedroom and a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room - both beds are zip-and-link. The sitting room centres on a woodburning stove, while the kitchen features an Aga (used for cooking in winter months, January through March) alongside an electric oven and induction hob. A Sonos music system, Smart TV, and WiFi are provided throughout. A ground-floor cloakroom and a bathroom with bath complete the layout.

Outside, off-road parking accommodates two cars, and bike storage is available. The cottage looks directly onto the river, where garden birds and waterfowl provide constant activity. Dog beds and towels are provided for four-legged guests.

The Tamar Valley here is rich in woodland walks and heritage sites. The National Trust's Cotehele House - a medieval manor with terraced gardens leading to a quay - is nearby. Calstock, with its railway viaduct, is a short drive. The nearest beaches at Kingsand and Cawsand on the Rame Peninsula are about 14km south, offering sheltered swimming in Plymouth Sound.
