Beach Cottage

An 18th-century cottage in East Looe with period features, three bedrooms, and an allocated parking space 25 yards from the front door - a real advantage in a town where summer parking is scarce. East Looe Beach, a sheltered stretch of golden sand, is roughly 50 yards across the road.

The ground floor has a lounge with feature fireplace, two sofas, and a TV with Sky digital. A kitchen-diner seats six and is fitted with ceramic hob, oven, fridge, microwave, washing machine, and dryer. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite shower room. Two twin bedrooms share a family shower room with heated towel rail. Gas central heating, bed linen, and towels are included. Dogs are welcome by arrangement, restricted to the downstairs area.

A small front patio with a bench provides outdoor seating. East Looe Beach is 0.1 km from the cottage, with rock pools exposed at low tide and the harbour right alongside. Hannafore Beach, on the West Looe side, is 0.8 km away and known for some of Cornwall's richest rock pools - crabs, starfish, and anemones in the shallows.

Looe is a working fishing town split into East and West Looe by a river estuary and joined by a Victorian bridge. Boats land catches on the quayside daily. Narrow streets hold independent shops, galleries, and fish restaurants. Polperro is 4 miles west along the coast path, and Plymouth is 21 miles east. The Looe Valley branch line connects to mainline services at Liskeard.
