Anchors Away

Anchors Away is a one-bedroom self-catering cottage for two in the coastal village of Downderry, between Looe and Plymouth on the south Cornwall coast. A private patio eating area and a single-storey-style open-plan layout distinguish it from the terraced houses in the village centre.

Inside, the layout covers a double bedroom, a single bathroom, and an open-plan living and dining area with a galley kitchen. The focus is on a couple-sized let with easy maintenance. Equipment includes wifi and accessibility features. Dogs are welcome.

Outside, the cottage has a private garden with an outdoor dining area and parking. Downderry itself sits behind a shingle-and-sand beach, with Seaton beach a short walk east and the South West Coast Path running through the village. A village pub and store cover most day-to-day essentials.

Downderry is one of the quieter coastal villages in south-east Cornwall, on the Whitsand Bay stretch of the coast path. Looe is around six miles west for the twin-harbour fishing port, with Polperro a short drive further. Plymouth is around 15 miles east. Prices are GBP 707 per week year-round, with Friday changeovers.
