6A The Mews

A purpose-built three-bedroom cottage in Harlyn Bay, 500m from the sand, sleeping 6 with one dog. The dog-friendly half of a paired build - 6B The Mews next door takes the same layout without pets.

Three bedrooms upstairs: a king-size with en-suite shower, basin and WC; a second king-size; and an adult bunk room served by a family bathroom. Downstairs is open-plan - kitchen with integrated appliances, dining area, and a sitting room with Smart TV. Wifi included. Check-in 4:00 pm, check-out 10:00 am. The enclosed rear courtyard has a barbecue, bench seating, and off-road parking.

Harlyn Bay is the most sheltered of the Seven Bays of St Merryn - north-facing and generally calmer than Constantine Bay a mile north. RNLI lifeguards in summer, Harlyn Surf School from the sand, and rock pools at both ends of the bay at low tide. The Harlyn Inn sits at the top of the beach for lunch or dinner. Padstow and the Stein restaurants are 3 miles south, with the Camel Trail starting from there. Trevone Bay and its blowhole are 1.5km east along the coast path.

Best for families with a dog who want a sheltered family beach within a 7-minute walk and Padstow's restaurants in driving range. Less good for groups wanting period character, sea views from the cottage, or beach access without crossing a road.
