The bedrooms are one double and one twin, both with en-suite shower rooms; a third WC takes the bathroom count to three. Access is via a spiral staircase to the first floor - awkward with heavy luggage and not suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Off-road parking is included, which is unusual for Chapel Street.

The seafront promenade and the restored 1935 Jubilee Pool lido are a 10-minute walk. The Scillonian III ferry to St Mary's leaves from Penzance harbour around 5 minutes south, with a 2 hour 45 minute crossing to Hugh Town. Eastern Green Beach sits 1.5km along the bay and Mousehole 3.8km down the coast. The Shore restaurant on Alverton Street is a 5-minute walk; Mackerel Sky in Newlyn sits a mile south along the harbour wall.

Best for two couples wanting separate en-suites and a historic town-centre apartment with a sea view. Less good for families with young children, anyone with mobility limits, or guests bringing a dog - the spiral staircase rules out all three.
