Two-bedroom Luxury Coastal cottage in the village of Ludgvan, 3 miles north-east of Penzance and 2 miles inland from Mount's Bay. Sleeps four. Both a wood burner in the sitting room and an open fire give you two heat sources for the cooler months.

The ground floor is open-plan: an L-shaped sofa around the wood burner, dining area, and kitchen with separate utility room (washer and tumble dryer). Two bedrooms upstairs share a single family bathroom with bath and shower over - so a family of four shares one bathroom. A terrace has a dining set, and a raised area with a bench gives a distant view of St Michael's Mount across the fields. Off-road parking on site.

The White Hart on Churchtown is a 5-minute walk through the village. Tremenheere Sculpture Garden is a 5-minute drive and Polgoon Vineyard around 10. Long Rock Beach sits 1.9km south on the bay, with Marazion and the causeway to St Michael's Mount 2.6km on. Penzance and Newlyn are 15 minutes by car; St Ives reachable via the A30 in around 25 minutes.

Best for a family or two couples wanting a quiet rural base with easy reach of Mount's Bay beaches and St Ives. Less good without a car - village bus service is limited and the nearest shops and station are in Penzance.
