Housed in an old stone building beside East Looe Quay, Apartment 1 at Buller House sits in one of the town’s narrow historic streets. This one-bedroom apartment sleeps 2 and is just 100 metres from East Looe Beach - a sheltered, sandy town beach that is lifeguarded during summer months.

The apartment has a compact, modern layout with WiFi and a washing machine. It works well as a couples’ base, with Looe’s independent shops, fish restaurants, galleries and pubs all within walking distance. Prices start from £373 per week on a Saturday changeover.

Hannafore Beach on the West Looe side is 800 metres away and has some of the best rock pools in Cornwall. Plaidy Beach, a quieter mixed sand-and-shingle cove, is 0.8 miles east along the coast path and rarely fills up even in high season.

Looe is a working fishing town split into East and West, connected by a Victorian bridge across the river estuary. Fishing boats land their catch on the quayside daily. Looe Island, a Cornwall Wildlife Trust nature reserve with grey seals and nesting seabirds, runs boat trips in summer. The South West Coast Path heads west through woodland to Polperro, roughly 4 miles and a 1.5-hour walk away. The Looe Valley branch line railway connects to mainline services at Liskeard.

Best for a couple wanting a quayside base within walking distance of Looe's harbour and beach. Less good for families or groups - the apartment has one bedroom and a compact layout suited to two.
