Polperro’s lantern parade is a community event where residents and visitors carry handmade lanterns through the narrow streets and along the harbour of one of Cornwall’s most photogenic fishing villages. The procession typically includes carol singing, music, and a gathering at the harbour.
Polperro is atmospheric at any time of year, but in December with lantern light reflecting off the harbour water and the narrow streets lit up, it’s genuinely special. The village is small enough that the parade fills every street.
Free to attend. Exact date to be confirmed - typically a Saturday in mid-December.
