Mylor Bridge

Mylor Bridge is the largest village in Mylor civil parish, located at the head of Mylor Creek about five miles north of Falmouth. The village lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has a strong connection to the water - the nearby yacht harbour at Mylor Churchtown makes it a popular centre for sailing and boating on the Fal estuary.

The village has a good range of everyday services including a post office and newsagent, grocery store, fishmonger, butcher’s shop, hairdresser and the Lemon Arms pub. There is also a primary school. The creek-side setting and network of footpaths make it a natural starting point for walks along the coast and through surrounding woodland.

Falmouth is less than five miles south, with its maritime museum, beaches, independent shops and seafood restaurants. The Pandora Inn at Restronguet Creek - a waterside pub with origins in the 13th century - can be reached on foot along the coastal trails. Truro, Cornwall’s only city, is about seven miles to the north-east.

Mylor Bridge suits visitors who enjoy water-based activities and quiet creekside walks, with Falmouth’s amenities and the Roseland coast both close at hand. Mylor Yacht Harbour offers boat hire, paddleboard rental and dinghy sailing courses, with sheltered water on the Fal making it suitable for beginners. The creek at low tide reveals wading birds, and the footpath to Flushing along the water’s edge is one of the best short walks in south Cornwall.
