Alternatively, hop in the car and head to the stunning Golitha Falls National Nature Reserve, just 3 miles away. Cornwall’s picturesque south coast is within easy reach, including the vibrant seaside town of Looe (12 miles) with its cobbled streets and sandy beaches. Here, you can pick up the South West Coast Path and follow it for 4 miles to the idyllic fishing village of Polperro – a paradise for keen photographers, boasting whitewashed cottages and rugged scenery. Nearby family days out include the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Adrenaline Quarry, all within 25 miles.

The bright and airy holiday lodge has a home-away-from-home vibe, with pretty soft furnishings and comfortable furniture to sink into after a day of adventure. The main living space is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where you can all chill out together, preparing meals using local ingredients or enjoying movie nights around the Smart TV. In summer months, throw open the doors to the terrace for indoor/outdoor living. A small corridor leads to three inviting bedrooms with sumptuous linens for a good night’s sleep. Choose from a double, a twin, or a small twin that’s ideal for children. The double bedroom benefits from a dressing area and its own WC. A refreshing family bathroom rounds off the accommodation.

Outside, the enclosed, decked area is a real sun trap and a lovely spot to enjoy an al fresco meal. You’ll also have a bubbling hot tub to sink into to revive weary limbs after a busy day. On site, there’s a playground and indoor play area, along with a tennis court, gym, and nine-hole golf course. Private parking is available for one car.
