The enclosed garden gets afternoon sun and has space for outdoor eating. Wi-Fi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine are included. The open fire adds a second heat source for cold nights.

Crackington Haven beach, with its striking banded cliffs and surf break, is 7.8km north-west. Millook Beach, one of Cornwall's more remote north coast coves, is 9.7km. Widemouth Bay, a family-friendly sand beach near Bude, is about 12km. Bodmin Moor, with open moorland walks and Brown Willy - the highest point in Cornwall at 417 metres - is accessible within 15 minutes from the door.

Camelford, around 7km south, is the nearest town with a supermarket, fuel, and cafes. Launceston, with a castle and main-line bus connections, is around 16km east. The Atlantic Highway (A39) runs close by, making north coast beaches at Bude accessible in around 20 minutes.

This suits families or two couples wanting countryside over coast, with the north coast within easy reach. Less good for those wanting to walk to a beach or needing cafes and shops within walking distance. Changeover is Saturday.
