Sleeping two guests, the one-bedroom former fisherman’s home is on the eastern side of the coastal town, within reach of shops, eateries and beautiful beaches. Explore the town on foot, pausing to stock up on produce in its seafood market. The golden sands of East Looe Beach, popular with swimmers, are just 100 metres away, while Hannafore Beach, with its rockpools, is 1 mile away and is a favourite with walkers and kayakers. Pick up the South West Coast Path from either side of the estuary and head out on a long hike with dramatic views. Cross the river via the bridge and wander 1.5 miles to handsome Kilminorth Woods. Have a trip to scenic Polperro, 5 miles away, or Polruan, 10.5 miles away, where you can take the ferry over to Fowey.

Step inside this cosy, three-storey cottage where a fisherman would once return to its welcome accommodation after hours spent out on the high seas. With a wealth of original charm, including gorgeous, exposed beams, the carefully renovated retreat now offers reverse-level accommodation to holidaymakers wishing to enjoy the colour of the town and the immense beauty of this part of Cornwall. Carry any shopping you have bought in town through to the open-plan kitchen/diner, where you will find everything you need to help you cater for yourselves. Warm your freshly baked Cornish pasties in the oven, then sit down to have lunch together. Your gorgeous bedroom, with its sumptuous king-size bed and exquisite timberwork, is on the floor above, where it offers all the comfort you require to ensure a superb night’s sleep. The bathroom, where you have the choice of a soak in the tub or a splash in the shower, is also on the first floor alongside the bedroom. Head on up another level to find the lounge, with feature fireplace where you can cuddle up in front of the Smart TV together.

There is no outside area with the cottage, but the beach is 100 metres away. The fresh air and space of the South West Coast Path is 150 metres from the bolthole.
