The Little Mowhay

The Little Mowhay is a single-storey converted barn in St Minver, sleeping five across three bedrooms all on one level. The property has original beams, exposed granite walls and a wood burner in the living area. Dogs are welcome, and parking is included.

Inside, the three bedrooms are a super-king-size (which can be split into a twin on request), a twin and a single, each with its own en-suite. The open-plan living space combines lounge, dining and kitchen under the original roof timbers. The kitchen includes a dishwasher and washing machine, and the lounge has a wood burner for cooler evenings.

Outside, the enclosed garden has a boules pitch and a table tennis shed, plus a BBQ for outdoor meals. Daymer Bay Beach is 4 km from the door, Polzeath Beach 4 km, and Greenaway Beach 4.2 km. The Camel Estuary is a short drive away for swimming at high tide.

Rock village lies within two miles and offers windsurfing, paddleboarding and waterskiing on the estuary, plus Paul Ainsworth's Mariners pub on the waterfront. Polzeath is Cornwall's best-known surf beach, and the walk out to Pentire Point and The Rumps is a half-day on foot. Padstow sits across the estuary, reached by the Black Tor ferry. Port Isaac, familiar from Doc Martin and Fisherman's Friends, is six miles north.
