The Dairy

The Dairy is a single-storey converted barn on a working farm between Wendron and Helston, sleeping four across two bedrooms. The conversion sits in open countryside about halfway between the market town and the Lizard, with no neighbouring holiday lets in direct view.

Inside, the living area has an open fire and a light, well-proportioned layout. The kitchen has a dishwasher; the bathroom is compact but functional. Rated 10/10 from 61 guest reviews via Sykes - a score that holds across 61 responses is a reliable indicator. Broadband and WiFi are included. Changeovers are on Fridays.

Outside, an enclosed patio garden with a BBQ runs along the back of the cottage. Parking for two cars on site. Porthleven beach and harbour are 8.6 miles south - around 15 minutes by car. The harbour has several fish restaurants on the quayside. Helston is under 5 miles, with supermarkets, the Blue Anchor pub (which brews its own Spingo ales on site), and Flambards theme park on the southern edge of town.

Best for: couples or small families after a quiet rural base with easy Lizard access. Less good for: guests who want a beach within walking distance - all the nearest beaches need a car.
