The Byre Sennen

Granite-built cottage on the outskirts of Sennen, sleeping six across three bedrooms. The first-floor double looks west toward the Isles of Scilly and Wolf Rock lighthouse, twelve miles offshore. Sennen Cove - a mile of sand at Cornwall's most westerly beach - is 1.2km from the door.

The cottage is laid out with a twin and double on the ground floor and the sea-view double upstairs. The living space has a vaulted ceiling, exposed granite walls, two Chesterfield sofas, and a wood burner. The kitchen runs to a dishwasher and washing machine. Worth flagging: there's no WiFi, so factor that in if you need to work remotely. One small dog is welcome.

The enclosed garden has a lawn and a six-seater patio for outdoor meals. Sennen village sits a short walk inland; The Old Success Inn on the cove serves food and pours St Austell ales. Land's End is under a mile south on foot via the coast path. The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is seven miles east, with performances running May to September.

Best for couples and small families wanting Cornwall's far western tip with surf, walks, and Atlantic sunsets on the doorstep. Less good for digital-nomad stays - no WiFi - or large dogs, since the garden is sized for one small one.
