The barn conversion has been fitted with accessible features throughout, making it one of the more carefully adapted properties in mid-Cornwall. The garden includes a BBQ with seating, and there is off-road parking. Wifi, dishwasher, and washing machine are included. No dogs are accepted.

Lostwithiel is a small market town 10 minutes away, with antique shops, a medieval bridge over the River Fowey, and independent pubs in the narrow streets around the Norman tower of St Bartholomew's church. Lanhydrock House (National Trust) is 3 miles north - a 1,000-acre estate with formal gardens open from March. Fowey and its working harbour are around 6 miles south, where the Hall Walk coastal trail starts at Bodinnick ferry. The nearest beach is Carlyon Bay at 9.9km, a 15-minute drive.

Best for: couples or small groups wanting a countryside base with accessible facilities and straightforward reach of mid-Cornwall's historic towns and coastline. Less good for: those who want to walk to a beach, or anyone travelling with dogs.
