Pogles Cottage

Pogles Cottage is a traditional granite corner cottage in central Penzance, sleeping two in a single double bedroom. Its curved walls and Cornish quirks mark it out as a period property, positioned around the corner from a quiet local pub and within walking distance of the train station, town centre and Mount's Bay seafront.

Inside, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner sits on the ground floor with a comfortable sofa and a Smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped with space to cook and dine at a table for two. A steep typical Cornish staircase leads up to the double bedroom at the front, which has plenty of storage, and the family bathroom to the rear, which looks over the courtyard garden below. Wifi is included.

Outside, a private enclosed courtyard garden sits to the rear with outdoor furniture and catches morning sun. Off-street parking is provided and one dog is welcome.

Penzance is the most westerly large town in Cornwall, with a harbour history tied to pirates and smugglers. Attractions within easy reach include the subtropical Morrab Gardens, the Penlee House Gallery and the Jubilee Pool outdoor lido. St Michael's Mount sits at the far end of Mount's Bay 3.5 miles east, while Land's End lies 10 miles west. Eastern Green Beach is the closest stretch of sand at 1.2km, with Long Rock Beach 2.4km along the bay and Marazion Beach 4.2km away. Ferries to the Isles of Scilly sail from the harbour.
