Penmarlam Lodge

This beautifully finished lodge is in a rural setting with views out to the Cornish countryside. Tucked away in the corner of this select holiday park, the lodge feels private and peaceful. You will be spoilt for choice for walking trails, with the South West Coast Path just over 2.5 miles away at Polruan and the circular Hall Walk starting at Bodinnick and taking you across the river to Fowey, 0.5 miles away. From Bodinnick, take the ferry across to Fowey – either on foot or with your car – and explore this picturesque harbour town with its quirky shops and a fabulous range of restaurants. Visit the quaint towns of Looe and Polperro (within 10 miles), which are nestled on the coast around lively harbours. A day at the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan (22 miles) is not to be missed, and be sure to enjoy a delicious lunch prepared on-site with their own produce from the kitchen garden.

From the parking area, there are just five steps which lead to a gate and onto the deck. Enter this attractive lodge and immediately find yourself in the useful utility room with a washing machine. Head on through to the spacious and well-laid-out open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with triple-aspect windows allowing plenty of light to flood in. The electric fire creates a cosy feel on cooler evenings, snuggled up watching your favourite show on the Smart TV. On fine days, open the doors to the deck and breathe in the fresh seaside air whilst having your morning coffee. The well-equipped kitchen has all you need to cook your favourite meals. To the rear of the lodge, there are two inviting bedrooms – a pretty double with stylish furniture, plenty of storage and an en-suite shower room, and a cosy twin with an en-suite shower room. Both rooms have Smart TVs, so are ideal for lazy lie-ins.

Outside, the deck extends to the front and side of the lodge and is a fully enclosed area. With rattan garden furniture, it’s a great place to dine alfresco whilst taking in the lovely surroundings. At the far end of the beautifully maintained shared grounds is a children’s play park.
