Oaklands

Oaklands is a 3-bedroom cottage in Davidstow, set inland on the edge of Bodmin Moor and sleeping 6 across 2 bathrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor, making the property accessible for guests with limited mobility. The garden has decking and off-road parking is included, along with wifi, dishwasher, and washing machine. No dogs are accepted.

Davidstow sits in the upper Camel valley, with Bodmin Moor to the south and the north Cornwall coast within a 15 to 20 minute drive. Bossiney Cove is the nearest listed beach at 9.5km - a remote sandy cove reached via a steep path, with no lifeguard cover and limited facilities. Crackington Haven is 10km away, a National Trust beach in a deep combe with a seasonal cafe and surf conditions that attract experienced surfers. Tregardock Beach is 12km from the cottage - one of the most isolated beaches on the north coast, accessible only on foot.

The village of Camelford is a few kilometres to the south-west, with a supermarket, a pub, and independent shops. The area suits guests who prefer a rural interior base over a coastal one - within range of both the moor and the sea but without the summer crowds of the coastal towns.

Good for families or small groups who want an accessible property with space and quiet, within reach of the north Cornwall coast. Less good for guests who want to walk to a beach or who need dog-friendly accommodation. Changeover is Saturday.
