The lodge is single-storey and open-plan: lounge, kitchen, and dining area flow together, with valley views through patio doors. The kitchen has a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, hob, oven, microwave, and washing machine. One king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room, also with valley views. No dishwasher. The decked veranda has seating and a BBQ; a private lawn below connects to the owner's one-acre shared garden.

Fallow deer are frequently seen in the valley bottom, particularly at dawn and dusk. A pub is 1 mile away. Looe, a fishing harbour with fresh-catch seafood restaurants, is 12 miles south - Looe Island, a nature reserve with a resident seal colony, sits just offshore. The Eden Project is within 30 minutes' drive, and the north Cornwall surf beaches are reachable within an hour.

Best for couples or solo travellers wanting countryside quiet, wildlife, and easy access to east Cornwall. The nearest listed beaches are 14km away - less suited to guests who want daily beach trips.
