Millstream

Millstream sits at Halgabron Mill in the wooded valley of St Nectan's Glen, a former corn mill complex roughly 1 mile from the centre of Tintagel. The 1-bedroom cottage sleeps 2, with a private patio beside the stream and a full-size bath - good for walkers who need a proper soak after a day on the coast path. EV charging is on site, and the garden provides a quiet outdoor space away from the crowds along the tourist strip.

The South West Coast Path runs through Rocky Valley, less than a 5-minute walk away, and connects north toward Bossiney Cove - 0.8km from the property - and south toward Tintagel Head with its National Trust-managed castle ruins. Tregardock Beach, a remote strand with no facilities accessible only on foot, is 5.9km along the path. The Bossiney Cove Beach area drops down steep steps to a sand and rock beach that's largely uncrowded outside of summer.

Tintagel village is a mile up the road, with cafes, a post office, and the Camelot Castle Hotel. Camelford is around 6km inland for larger shops. St Nectan's Glen waterfall - an 18-metre drop through a rock chamber - is a short walk upstream and draws day visitors throughout the year.

Best for couples who want seclusion with coastal walking on the doorstep. Less good for anyone reliant on public transport - the village is accessible but infrequent bus services to Bodmin or Bude require planning.
