May Cottage is a three-bedroom stone cottage on North Road in the centre of Pentewan village, sleeping four across three bedrooms with one shared bathroom. The address puts you 400 metres from Pentewan Beach - a 10-minute walk at a relaxed pace along the main village road.

The sitting room has an open fire, and the property includes an enclosed garden to the rear. Three bedrooms share a single bathroom, which is workable for a family of four but tighter for two unrelated couples who are not comfortable with that arrangement. Pentewan Beach is a long sand bay sheltered by the harbour wall, with calm water on most summer days. The flat Pentewan Valley Cycle Trail runs 3 miles from the village to St Austell along a former harbour rail line - one of the easier family rides on the south coast. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are under 1 mile inland by road; Mevagissey is 2 miles south for fish and chips and a working harbour; the Eden Project is roughly 5 miles north.

Best for families or two couples wanting a village base where the beach, pub, and cycle trail are all within a 10-minute walk. Less good for dog owners, large groups, or those wanting a private bathroom - one bathroom between three bedrooms is the main trade-off for the central Pentewan location and open fire.
