Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes, a compact beach popular with surfers at 8.8km, is roughly the same distance. Both are reached via the B3300 and the St Agnes road.

St Agnes itself is around 8km north-west, with a well-regarded pub, independent shops, and access to the South West Coast Path including the Trevaunance headland walk with views back over the cove. Truro is roughly 10 miles east for city amenities including the main rail hub.
